Diego Lujano vs Luis Melgar

Boxing Daily Report from the Jaromir Dobroniecki promoted show at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas,  taking place on 03/09/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Diego Lujano (11(6) - 0) who hails from Sabadell, Spain and Luis Melgar(12 - 13(4)) from Zapopan, Mexico.  Both Lujano and Melgar weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Brad Primrose, and the three ringside judges are Dale Cloyd, Mark Hasson and David Finnie.  

Round 1: 

Melgar gets on the inside.  Lujano pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a sharp left hook into Melgar's ribs.  
Melgar throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.

Lujano switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Melgar sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Lujano digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  Lujano attempts to land a left uppercut, but Melgar slips the shot and counters with a cross.

Melgar advances into close range and throws a right hook, but Lujano ties up his opponent.  Lujano throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Melgar tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Lujano's kidney. The ref breaks Lujano's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Melgar is looking to close the distance.  Lujano lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Melgar lands a jab.  
Lujano is on target with a solid left hook.  Lujano tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Lujano tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Melgar's kidney. Lujano leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Melgar is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Melgar and breaks the clinch.  Melgar almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Melgar throws a right hook, but Lujano ties up his opponent.  Melgar throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Lujano uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Melgar behind the head. 
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Melgar's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Melgar's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.
