Borya Shakhrai vs Aleksandr Zass

Boxing Daily Report from the Lupyan Promotions promoted show at Luka Stasova Gym, Taganrog,  taking place on 28/08/2041:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Russia-Rostov Oblast Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Borya Shakhrai (3 - 5 - 1) who hails from Taganrog, Russia and Aleksandr Zass(7 - 28(1) - 8) from Taganrog, Russia.  Both Shakhrai and Zass weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Aleksandr Denisov, and the three ringside judges are Dmitri Ivanov, Sergei Tarasov and Fedya Torbinski.  

Round 1: 

Shakhrai attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Zass's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Shakhrai is on target with a cross.

Shakhrai is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with an overhand left.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Shakhrai's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Zass's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Zass's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Zass quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent andAs Zass tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Shakhrai dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Shakhrai.  That has caused minor damage to the nose.  
Shakhrai pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook.
