Peter Tait vs Charlie Ray

Boxing Daily Report from the Serero Promotions promoted show at Raleigh Stealey, Raleigh,  taking place on 04/09/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-North Carolina Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Peter Tait (3 - 8 - 2) who hails from Charlotte, USA and Charlie Ray(21 - 10 - 1) from Raleigh, USA.  Tait weighed in at 168 pounds, while Ray weighed in at 167 pounds And 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Jack Cameron, and the three ringside judges are Dan Creelman, Joel Richard and Alen Corson.  

Round 1: 

Ray gets on the inside and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Ray closes the distance and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Ray feints a left hook, and then connects with a left uppercut.  
Tait switches the action to the outside and strikes his opponents body with a cross.  
Ray is on target with a right uppercut to Tait's ribcage.  Ray throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Ray is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Ray feints a cross, but Tait ignores the feint and lands with a right hook.  
Ray switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Ray lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Tait pivots to the right of his opponent.  Ray hits home with a cross.  
Ray pivots to the left of his opponent and digs in a left hook to Tait's body.

Tait steps to the outside and hits home with a cross.  
Ray feints a left, and then lands a cross.  
Tait gets on the inside.  Ray digs in a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Tait steps to the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Tait sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Ray connects with a cross.  
Ray is looking to close the distance.  Ray lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Ray holds on to his opponent.  Ray is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Ray about fouling.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Ray.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.

Ray lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Tait throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Ray steps inside.  Ray pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Tait lands a cross.  
Ray lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Ray steps to the outside.  Ray quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Ray attempts to land an overhand left, but Tait slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Tait is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a cross.  
Ray advances into close range and manouvers Tait into a corner.  Tait throws a left hook, but Ray ties up his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Ray is looking to close the distance.  Tait is on target with a right uppercut.  Tait wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ray dabs at his face checking for damage.
