Beau Batton vs Lucas Dobson

Boxing Daily Report from the GAT Management promoted show at Centre Étienne Desmarteau - Ice Rink Jean Trottier, Montreal,  taking place on 01/09/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Beau Batton (7(4) - 0) who hails from Montreal, Canada and Lucas Dobson(17 - 12(1) - 4) from New York City, USA.  Batton weighed in at 175 pounds, while Dobson weighed in at 175 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is James Dunlap, and the three ringside judges are Carvell Brame, Sid Leys and Gower Paille.  

Round 1: 

Dobson quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Batton finds the target with a jab.  
Batton is on target with a right hook.  
Batton pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Batton manouvers Dobson into the red corner.  Batton lands a right hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  Batton ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Batton pushes his forearm into Dobson's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Batton is looking to close the distance and tries to land a left hook, but Dobson sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Batton hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Batton is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Batton closes the distance and walks Dobson down, trapping him in a corner.  Batton is on target with a right hook.  
Batton lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Batton ties up his opponent.  Batton hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. Batton leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Batton is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Batton lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Batton advances into close range and lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Batton drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Dobson throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Batton drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  As Dobson tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Batton dabs at his face checking for damage.  Batton has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Batton is on target with a solid cross.  
Batton gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Batton steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Batton pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Batton lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Batton ties up his opponent.  Batton pushes his forearm into Dobson's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Batton about fouling.  
Batton walks Dobson down, trapping him in the corner.  Batton lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Batton lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Batton closes the distance and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.

Batton lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Batton lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Batton lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Batton lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Dobson almost instantly recovers. 
Batton advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Batton quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Batton attempts to land a cross, but Dobson slips the shot and counters with a left hook.

Batton advances into close range and slams a big left hook into Dobson's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE DOBSON WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Batton manages to force Dobson onto the ropes.  The right shot from Batton could be enough to force the stoppage!  Batton lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body, AND DOBSON IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  
Batton lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS DOBSON SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Batton!
