Erik Matzner vs Lewy Gessel

Boxing Daily Report from the Punch Drunk Promotions promoted show at Punch Gym, Dortmund,  taking place on 24/08/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Erik Matzner (2 - 0) who hails from Stuttgart, Germany and Lewy Gessel(0 - 0) from Berlin, Germany.  Both Matzner and Gessel weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Maik Daub, and the three ringside judges are Arnot Jochum, Andreas Strebe and Dieter Jonas.  

Round 1: 

Gessel is on target with a cross.  
Matzner feints a left hook, and then finds the target with a jab.

Matzner is looking to close the distance.  Gessel pivots from in front of his opponent.  Gessel throws a right uppercut, but Matzner ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Matzner pushes his forearm into Gessel's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Matzner is looking to close the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Matzner lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Matzner closes the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Matzner walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Matzner is on target with a sharp right uppercut to Gessel's body.  Matzner clinches his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gessel dabs at his face checking for damage.

Gessel's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Gessel's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Gessel throws a right hook, but Matzner ties up his opponent.  Matzner uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Gessel behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Matzner gets on the inside and is on target with a left hook to Gessel's body.  Matzner holds on to his opponent.  Matzner leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The referee breaks up the clinch and lectures Matzner to stop holding.  
Matzner manages to force Gessel into a corner.  Matzner pivots to the side of his opponent and digs in a solid left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Gessel throws a left hook, but Matzner holds on to his opponent.  Matzner throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Matzner lands a right uppercut followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Matzner closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Matzner quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a sharp right hook to Gessel's body.  
Matzner pivots from in front of his opponent and snaps his opponents head back with a ramrod jab.  
Matzner closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND DROPS GESSEL TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 7.  
Matzner is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a right uppercut to the body.

Gessel wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Matzner dabs at his face checking for damage.  Gessel quickly recovers. 
Matzner pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a left hook into Gessel's ribs.  
Matzner closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.

Matzner closes the distance and digs in a right hook to his opponents ribcage.  Matzner ties up his opponent.  Matzner is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Matzner to stop holding.

Some sustained pressure from Matzner could be enough to finish Gessel!  Matzner drives a potent left uppercut into Gessel's body.  
Matzner slams a hurtful left hook into Gessel's body.  DOWN GOES GESSEL!  HE UNSTEADILY TRIES TO GET UP BUT IS UNABLE TO BEAT THE 10 COUNT!  The winner by KO is Matzner!
