Rafael Zendejas vs Pedro Higuera

Boxing Daily Report from the Ruzgeryan Promotions promoted show at Santo Domingo de Guz Rentas, Santo Domingo de Guzman,  taking place on 14/09/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Dominican Republic Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on CERTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Rafael Zendejas (36(1) - 11(3) - 3) who hails from Santo Domingo Oeste, Dominican Republic and Pedro Higuera(33(17) - 3) from Santo Domingo de Guzman, Dominican Republic.  Zendejas weighed in at 117 pounds and 9 ounces, while Higuera weighed in at 118 pounds and 10 ounces.    As Higuera came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Diego Portilla, and the three ringside judges are Guillermo Galea, Hernan Orosco and Ivan Vasques.
