Sam Mnkandla vs Barry Rusere

Boxing Daily Report from the Kuenyehia Promotions promoted show at Ian Kabweza Gym, Harare,  taking place on 03/11/2021:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Zimbabwe Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Joy TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Sam Mnkandla (5 - 2 - 2) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Barry Rusere(5 - 2) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  Both Mnkandla and Rusere weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Sword, and the three ringside judges are Robert Hunzvi, Michael Chipeta and Makalo Ncube.  

Round 1: 

Rusere is looking to close the distance.  Mnkandla attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Rusere time to recover.
