George Mason vs Vince Marr

Boxing Daily Report from the Soweto Punch Pros promoted show at Von Braun Center, Huntsville,  taking place on 26/10/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are George Mason (4(3) - 0 - 1) who hails from Halifax, Canada and Vince Marr(23 - 17(6) - 3) from Toronto, Canada.  Both Mason and Marr weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mark Bringhurst, and the three ringside judges are James Younie, Oliver Guilliams and Stephen Glasford.  

Round 1: 

Mason pivots to the right of his opponent and lands two jabs to the body, and one to the head.  
Mason advances into close range.  Mason pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Mason steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Mason clinches his opponent.  Mason is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Mason is on target with a left hook to Marr's body.  
Mason sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Mason lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left hook to the head.  Mason clinches his opponent.  Mason pushes his forearm into Marr's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Mason to stop fouling.  
Marr switches the action to the outside.  Mason sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Mason throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Mason lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Mason is looking to close the distance.  Mason quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a solid left hook.  
Marr tries to land a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Mason closes the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Mason lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Mason lands a jab followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Mason pivots to the right of his opponent.  Mason digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  Mason ties up his opponent.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Mason quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a jab to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Mason closes the distance.  Mason quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.

Mason advances into close range.  Mason leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Marr accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Mason.

Marr sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Mason is on target with a firm left uppercut to his opponents body.  Mason tries to land a left hook, but Marr sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Marr's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Marr's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Marr's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Marr contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Mason lands a sharp cross to his opponents body.  
Marr tries to keep the action at long range.  Mason lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Mason drives a solid right hook into Marr's ribs.  
Mason lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Mason is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.

Marr tries to keep the action at long range.  Mason knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Mason lands a mean left hook.  MARR IS DOWN!  HE TRIES TO RISE BUT HIS LEGS DONT RESPOND...THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Mason!
