Pieter-Jan Stander vs Joel Van Zyl

Boxing Daily Report from the South African Boxers promoted show at Jackson Mkhize Gym, Soweto,  taking place on 29/09/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Africa-Gauteng Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Pieter-Jan Stander (2 - 4 - 3) who hails from Germiston, South Africa and Joel Van Zyl(11 - 11(1) - 6) from Pretoria, South Africa.  Both Stander and Van Zyl weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bongani Zungu, and the three ringside judges are Kyan Majola, Luvolwethu Motupa and Dume Aidoo.  

Round 1: 

Van Zyl is looking to close the distance.  Stander pivots to the left of his opponent and digs in a left uppercut to Van Zyl's body.
