Cortez Bomba vs Sean Barreras

Boxing Daily Report from the Top Shelf Prospects promoted show at Bob Martinez Sports Center, Tampa,  taking place on 28/09/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Cortez La Bomba (0 - 0) who hails from Nezahualcoyotl, Mexico and Sean Barreras(6 - 5 - 3) from Jacksonville, USA.  Both Bomba and Barreras weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Vicente Llanas, and the three ringside judges are Sam Matteson, Pedro Buendia and David Carias.  

Round 1: 

Bomba closes the distance and throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Bomba holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Bomba pushes his forearm into Barreras's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Bomba advances into close range.  Bomba tries to land a left hook, but Barreras parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Bomba closes the distance.  Bomba sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Bomba gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Bomba walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Bomba throws a right uppercut, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Bomba holds on to his opponent.  Bomba leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Bomba hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. 
Bomba sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Bomba sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Bomba is looking to close the distance and connects with a left hook.  
Bomba is on target with a stinging overhand left.  
Bomba advances into close range.  Bomba pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook, right uppercut and a left hook to his opponents body.

Bomba pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a stinging right hook.

Bomba advances into close range and digs in a solid right uppercut to Barreras's body.  Bomba ties up his opponent.  Bomba is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Barreras quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Barreras tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Bomba steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Barreras steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Barreras's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Barreras's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Barreras pivots to the side of his opponent.  Bomba lands a left uppercut to the body followed by two straights to the head.

Bomba advances into close range.  Barreras pivots to the right of his opponent.  Bomba hits home with a firm left hook.  
Barreras is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Bomba lands a jab.  
Bomba is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left hook.  
Bomba gets on the inside and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head, AND BARRERAS IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  Barreras almost instantly gets his legs back.

Bomba gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Bomba senses Barreras is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Bomba is on target with a MASSIVE right uppercut.  BARRERAS HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 7.  Barreras now seems to have got his legs back.  
Barreras pivots to the side of his opponent.  Barreras throws a left hook, but Bomba holds on to his opponent.  Bomba is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Bomba tries to keep the action at long range.  Barreras sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Barreras attempts to land a jab, but Bomba sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Bomba is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Bomba drives a solid left hook into his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Bomba's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Barreras's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Barreras's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.
