Richard Kennedy vs David Dobson

Boxing Daily Report from the Yassa Promotions promoted show at Edmonton Heird, Edmonton,  taking place on 19/10/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Canada-Alberta Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Richard Kennedy (10 - 9 - 1) who hails from Edmonton, Canada and David Dobson(25(1) - 10(2) - 4) from Calgary, Canada.  Both Kennedy and Dobson weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Haddow, and the three ringside judges are Charles Wardrop, David Baxter and Zachary Sinton.  

Round 1: 

Kennedy steps to the outside and is on target with a cross.  
Kennedy attempts to land a jab, but Dobson sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Dobson lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Dobson drives a left hook into Kennedy's body.  
Dobson pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Kennedy is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a cross.

Dobson tries to keep the action at long range and finds the target with a hard jab.  
Dobson closes the distance and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Dobson sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Kennedy throws a right hook, but Dobson holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Dobson pushes his forearm into Kennedy's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Dobson.

Dobson advances into close range.  Dobson backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Kennedy accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Dobson.

Dobson steps inside.  Kennedy sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Dobson lands a left hook.  Dobson holds on to his opponent.  Dobson tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Kennedy behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Dobson.

Kennedy feints a jab, but Dobson is not fooled and lands with a right hook.  
Dobson steps inside.  Kennedy sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Dobson lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Dobson clinches his opponent.  Dobson leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Dobson's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Dobson is looking to keep the action on the outside and tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kennedy's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Kennedy's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
