Cody Feimster vs Rob Strang

Boxing Daily Report from the Granite Chin Promotions promoted show at Balch Fieldhouse, Boulder,  taking place on 02/12/2041:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Cody Feimster (4 - 0) who hails from Honolulu, USA and Rob Strang(3 - 8 - 1) from Syracuse, USA.  Both Feimster and Strang weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Owen Simpson, and the three ringside judges are Joshua Davie, Alen Greenlaw and Noah Keys.  

Round 1: 

Feimster is looking to close the distance.  Feimster sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Feimster steps inside.  Feimster pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Feimster voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Strang steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Feimster lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  Feimster ties up his opponent.  Feimster is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Feimster attempts to land a jab, but Strang blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Feimster's liver.  
Feimster is on target with a right hook to Strang's ribs.  
Strang attempts to land a cross, but Feimster sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Strang digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Feimster is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Feimster throws a right hook, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Feimster holds on to his opponent.  Feimster is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Feimster is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Strang pivots to the left of his opponent.  Strang throws a left hook, but Feimster clinches his opponent.  Feimster leans on his opponent using all his weight. Feimster pushes his forearm into Strang's face.  The referee warns Feimster and breaks the clinch.  
The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Feimster dabs at his face checking for damage.  Feimster has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Strang's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.
