Takeo Fukuhara vs Hajime Imai

Boxing Daily Report from the Carabetian Promotions promoted show at Kyoto Takemoto, Kyoto,  taking place on 28/10/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Kyoto Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Takeo Fukuhara (22(20) - 0) who hails from Kyoto, Japan and Hajime Imai(2 - 7(1) - 2) from Kyoto, Japan.  Fukuhara weighed in at 125 pounds and 10 ounces, while Imai weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Eiji Kato, and the three ringside judges are Yuji Nagai, Kazuhiko Ozawa and Fumio Aki.  

Round 1: 

Fukuhara advances into close range.  Imai throws a left hook, but Fukuhara ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Fukuhara pushes his forearm into Imai's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Fukuhara hits home with a right hook.  
Fukuhara closes the distance and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Imai recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Fukuhara throws a left hook, but his opponent steps away from the punch.  Fukuhara holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Fukuhara pushes his forearm into Imai's face.  The ref breaks Fukuhara's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Imai throws a left hook, but Fukuhara ties up his opponent.  Fukuhara is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks Fukuhara's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Fukuhara throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Fukuhara clinches his opponent.  Fukuhara leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.

Fukuhara steps inside.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Fukuhara has come off worse after that clash of heads.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Imai gets on the inside.  Fukuhara lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  Fukuhara ties up his opponent.  Fukuhara leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Fukuhara is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Fukuhara about fouling.  
Fukuhara is on target with a left hook.  Fukuhara ties up his opponent.  Fukuhara throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Fukuhara advances into close range and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Fukuhara sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Fukuhara lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Fukuhara feints a right, and then lands a jab followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Fukuhara closes the distance and hits home with a sharp left uppercut.  
Imai closes the distance.  Fukuhara lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook to the head followed by two right hook's to the body.  
Fukuhara lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Imai throws a right hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a solid right hook.  
Imai connects with a left hook.  
Imai forces Fukuhara to back into the ropes.  Fukuhara lands a left hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Imai's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Imai's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Imai's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Imai gets on the inside.  Imai sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Fukuhara lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Fukuhara digs in a right hook to Imai's body.  
Fukuhara lands a solid right hook.  
Fukuhara lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Fukuhara forces Imai to retreat onto the ropes.  Fukuhara lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Fukuhara lands a left uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  Fukuhara clinches his opponent.  Fukuhara leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Fukuhara lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Imai is on target with a left hook.  
Fukuhara lands a right uppercut, right hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Fukuhara clinches his opponent.  Fukuhara is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Fukuhara lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head, AND IMAI IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 8.  
Fukuhara senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Fukuhara whips in a big left hook to his opponents ribs.  IMAI IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  
Fukuhara lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND DROPS IMAI TO THE CANVAS!  The ref waves off the fight.  He does not believe Imai can continue!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Fukuhara!
