Mikio Baba vs Hideki Yamamura

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Tokyo promoted show at Dai Tano Gym, Tokyo,  taking place on 26/10/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Tokyo Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mikio Baba (1 - 10(1) - 2) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Hideki Yamamura(3(2) - 1) from Machida, Japan.  Both Baba and Yamamura weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Takeo Kibe, and the three ringside judges are Goro Oyama, Yuji Mihara and Dai Fujita.  

Round 1: 

Baba attempts to land a jab, but Yamamura dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Yamamura is looking to close the distance.  Baba pivots to the side of his opponent.  Baba goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Yamamura's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Yamamura walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Yamamura lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Yamamura lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  Yamamura clinches his opponent.  Yamamura uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Baba behind the head. 
Yamamura sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a sharp cross.  
Yamamura throws a left hook, but the shot is blocked.  Yamamura holds on to his opponent.  Yamamura uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Baba's kidney. Yamamura is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Yamamura steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Yamamura walks his opponent into a corner.  Yamamura lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Yamamura is on target with a stinging left hook.  
Yamamura walks Baba down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Yamamura digs in a sharp right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Baba steps away from his opponent.  Yamamura connects with a cross.  
Yamamura is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Baba steps to the outside.  Yamamura sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  Yamamura lands a cross, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS BABA!  He is back up on his feet at 7.  Baba now seems to have his senses back.  
Yamamura gets on the inside.  Baba quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Yamamura lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Yamamura advances into close range and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Yamamura lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Yamamura holds on to his opponent.  Yamamura throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. Yamamura is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Yamamura about fouling.  Baba almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Yamamura lands a right hook.  
Yamamura connects with a firm left uppercut.  Yamamura holds on to his opponent.  Yamamura hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Baba tries to keep the action at long range and tries to land a jab, but Yamamura slips the shot and counters with a hurtful left uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE BABA WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Baba now seems to have got his legs back.  
Yamamura is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Yamamura is on target with a sharp left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Yamamura digs in a left hook to Baba's body.  Yamamura holds on to his opponent.  Yamamura leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Yamamura's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Baba's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Baba's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Baba's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Baba's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Baba is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Yamamura lands a cross.  
Yamamura closes the distance and lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body.  
Yamamura walks his opponent into a corner.  Yamamura lands a right hook.  Yamamura attempts to land a right hook, but Baba blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Yamamura is on target with a sharp left uppercut to Baba's body.  
Yamamura lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Yamamura knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Yamamura lands a right uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  He then lands a left uppercut to the body, a cross to the head and a left uppercut to the body, AND SENDS BABA TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Baba now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.
