John Ross vs Gus Whitehead

Boxing Daily Report from the Granite Chin Promotions promoted show at Surprise Stadium, Surprise,  taking place on 16/12/2041:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-Arizona Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on MSG Network, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Ross (15(11) - 2(2)) who hails from Mesa, USA and Gus Whitehead(9 - 8(2) - 3) from Phoenix, USA.  Both Ross and Whitehead weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Rennick, and the three ringside judges are Javier Morena, Mick Kimmick and Lloyd Bath.
