Kieran Cowper vs Onofre Gonzalez

Boxing Daily Report from the International Boxing Fight League promoted show at Auditorio Nacional, Mexico City,  taking place on 14/12/2041:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kieran Cowper (27(24) - 1(1)) who hails from Linden, Guyana and Onofre Gonzalez(31(8) - 3(3)) from San Luis Potosi, Mexico.  Both Cowper and Gonzalez weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Joaquin Herran, and the three ringside judges are Rodrigo Landaverde, Roman Algarin and Eloy Gonsalez.  

Round 1: 

Gonzalez is looking to close the distance.  Cowper drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  
Cowper tries to keep the action at long range.  Gonzalez quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Cowper drives a jab into Gonzalez's body.  Cowper tries to land a jab, but Gonzalez blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Cowper steps away from his opponent.  Gonzalez lands a cross.  
Cowper lands an overhand right, jab and an overhand right to his opponents head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Cowper knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Cowper lands a left hook followed by  two right hooks to his opponents head, AND KNOCKS GONZALEZ DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Gonzalez now seems to have his senses back.  
Gonzalez steps inside.  Cowper lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Cowper tries to step out of his opponents range and connects with a big cross.  IT LOOKS LIKE GONZALEZ WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Gonzalez cuts off the ring, trapping Cowper on the ropes.  Cowper knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Cowper SLAMS a BRUTAL left uppercut into his opponents face.  GONZALEZ IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  Gonzalez now seems to have got his legs back.  
Gonzalez digs in a left uppercut to Cowper's ribs.  
Cowper switches the action to the outside.  Cowper feints a cross, and then lands a sharp jab.  
Gonzalez sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Gonzalez throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a forceful right uppercut to Gonzalez's body.  GONZALEZ IS HURT!  Gonzalez almost instantly recovers. 
Gonzalez throws an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a stinging left uppercut.  
Cowper lands a sharp jab.  
Cowper steps to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Cowper feints a right, and then lands two jabs to the body, and one to the head.  
Gonzalez hits home with a cross.  
Cowper is on target with a jab.  Cowper tries to land a jab, but Gonzalez dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Gonzalez is looking to close the distance and throws a right uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Cowper lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Cowper is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Cowper is on target with a DESTRUCTIVE cross.  GONZALEZ IS DOWN!  THE REF DOES NOT GIVE GONZALEZ THE CHANCE TO BEAT THE COUNT...HE'S STOPPING THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Cowper!
