Matt Kriel vs Mykelti Madhuku

Boxing Daily Report from the Hendo & Chase Sports Capital promoted show at Zimbabwe-Bulawayo Gym, Bulawayo,  taking place on 14/11/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Zimbabwe Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Joy TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Matt Kriel (7 - 13(3)) who hails from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and Mykelti Madhuku(27(19) - 12(10) - 1) from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.  Kriel weighed in at 139 pounds and 7 ounces, while Madhuku weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Matt Quilliam, and the three ringside judges are Billy Mpofu, Joseph Tongogara and Jacob Chindungwe.  

Round 1: 

Madhuku manouvers Kriel onto the ropes.  Madhuku digs in a sharp left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Madhuku connects with a left hook.  Madhuku clinches his opponent.  Madhuku uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Kriel behind the head. 
Madhuku lands a left uppercut.  Madhuku holds on to his opponent.  Madhuku is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Madhuku pushes his forearm into Kriel's face.  The ref breaks Madhuku's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Madhuku throws a right hook, but his opponent avoids the punch with a sidestep.  Madhuku clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Madhuku pushes his forearm into Kriel's face.  The referee warns Madhuku and breaks the clinch.  
Madhuku drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Madhuku pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left uppercut.  
Madhuku steps inside and lands a left hook.  Madhuku clinches his opponent.  Madhuku uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Kriel behind the head. Madhuku leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Madhuku cuts off the ring, trapping Kriel on the ropes.  Madhuku lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  Madhuku holds on to his opponent.  Madhuku throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. 
Madhuku connects with a right hook.  Madhuku ties up his opponent.  Kriel is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Madhuku steps inside and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Madhuku is looking to close the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him in the red corner.  Kriel is on target with a right uppercut to Madhuku's body.  
Madhuku pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Madhuku pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Madhuku pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a jab to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right uppercut to the head.  
Kriel is looking to keep his distance and tries to land an overhand right, but Madhuku blocks the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Kriel quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Madhuku lands a spiteful jab.  
Madhuku is looking to close the distance and is on target with a left hook.  
Madhuku gets on the inside and is on target with a sharp left hook to Kriel's body.  
Madhuku digs in a right uppercut to Kriel's ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kriel's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Kriel's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Kriel's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Round 2: 

Madhuku lands a sharp right uppercut.  
Madhuku advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Madhuku gets on the inside and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Madhuku lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Madhuku is looking to close the distance and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  He then lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  
Kriel switches the action to the outside.  Madhuku senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop Kriel and just needs the right shot.  Madhuku lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, DROPPING KRIEL TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 6.  Kriel now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Madhuku lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Madhuku steps inside.  Madhuku sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Madhuku lands a jab to the body followed by a cross to the head.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Madhuku lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Madhuku steps inside.  Madhuku hits home with a sharp left hook.  Kriel wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Madhuku dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Kriel is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Madhuku tries to land a jab, but Kriel sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Madhuku gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body, DROPPING KRIEL TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Kriel is looking to keep his distance.  Madhuku thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Kriel away.  Madhuku lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, AND DROPS KRIEL!  The ref does not give Kriel the chance to beat the count...The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Madhuku!
