Naoki Tamura vs Ryuu Minamoto

Boxing Daily Report from the Japan’s Boxing promoted show at Kazuhiko Miura Gym, Nagoya,  taking place on 26/11/2041:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Japan-Aichi Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Naoki Tamura (9 - 12 - 7) who hails from Nagoya, Japan and Ryuu Minamoto(15 - 14 - 4) from Nagoya, Japan.  Both Tamura and Minamoto weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hideki Kawasaki, and the three ringside judges are Kenji Shimoda, Yasushi Jin and Satoshi Mochizuki.  

Round 1: 

Minamoto finds the target with a jab.  
Tamura is looking to keep his distance.  Tamura feints a right hook, and then connects with a cross.  
Tamura lands a jab.  
Tamura sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Minamoto tries to land a cross, but Tamura blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Minamoto lands with a solid jab.  
Minamoto feints a left hook, but Tamura is not fooled and lands with a right uppercut.  
Tamura quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Minamoto drives a jab into Tamura's body.  
Tamura steps away from his opponent and is on target with a cross.

Minamoto attempts to land a jab, but Tamura dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Tamura voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Minamoto steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Tamura closes the distance.  Minamoto connects with a left hook.  As Minamoto tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Tamura dabs at his face checking for damage.
