Kai Grant vs Danyaal Barakat

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Boxing promoted show at North Shore Stadium, Auckland,  taking place on 14/12/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Asia-Oceania Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV One, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Kai Grant (23(16) - 1 - 2) who hails from Perth, Australia and Danyaal Barakat(32(19) - 7(1) - 1) from Sharjah, UAE.  Both Grant and Barakat weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Vaux, and the three ringside judges are Ian Skene, Bryan Swineford and Declan Greenway.  

Round 1: 

Grant drives a sharp right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Grant lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Grant quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Grant lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  Grant clinches his opponent.  Grant is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Grant about fouling.  
Grant lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Grant holds on to his opponent.  Grant leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Grant's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Grant advances into close range and tries to land a right uppercut, but Barakat blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Grant digs in a sharp right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Grant walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Barakat lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Barakat drives a right hook into Grant's body.  Grant holds on to his opponent.  Grant leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Grant attempts to land a right hook, but Barakat blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Grant steps inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Grant closes the distance.  Barakat sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Grant lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  Grant clinches his opponent.  Grant leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Grant's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Barakat lands with a stiff jab.  
Grant gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Grant steps inside and attempts to land a right hook, but Barakat blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Barakat voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Grant steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Grant gets on the inside and digs in a right hook to Barakat's body.  
Grant tries to land a right hook, but Barakat parries the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Grant is on target with a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Grant tries to land a cross, but Barakat slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Grant sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Grant throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Grant connects with a sharp cross.  
Grant gets on the inside.  Grant sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a sharp right uppercut to Barakat's body.  
Grant steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND DOWN GOES BARAKAT!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Barakat recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Barakat's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Barakat's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Grant steps inside.  Barakat throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Barakat steps to the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Barakat is on target with a left hook.  
Grant lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Grant pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Grant hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Barakat attempts to land a jab, but Grant blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Barakat is on target with a jab.
