Lehlohonolo Tambo vs Shaquille Kalengo

Boxing Daily Report from the Soweto Punch Pros promoted show at Independence Stadium, Lusaka,  taking place on 29/11/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Lehlohonolo Tambo (1 - 0) who hails from iBhayi, South Africa and Shaquille Kalengo(10 - 4 - 2) from Lusaka, Zambia.  Tambo weighed in at 135 pounds, while Kalengo weighed in at 134 pounds And 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Elliot Hajamba, and the three ringside judges are Voshon Nchelenge, Afram Shindano and Laken Chipungu.  

Round 1: 

Tambo lands a jab to the head, a left hook to the body and a cross to the head.  Tambo tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.

Tambo digs in a solid left hook to his opponents body.  Tambo ties up his opponent.  Tambo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Tambo cuts off the ring, trapping Kalengo in the corner.  Tambo digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Tambo closes the distance.  Kalengo throws a left uppercut, but Tambo ties up his opponent.  Tambo is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Tambo and breaks the clinch.  
Tambo lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Tambo holds on to his opponent.  The ref breaks Tambo's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Tambo slams a nasty right hook into his opponents ribcage.  KALENGO HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Tambo lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Kalengo almost instantly recovers. 
Kalengo steps to the outside.  Tambo lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Kalengo is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Tambo feints a left, and then lands a cross.  
Tambo gets on the inside.  Tambo lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kalengo dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Tambo is on target with a cross.  
Tambo lands a right uppercut.  
Tambo is on target with a firm right hook to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kalengo's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Kalengo's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Tambo forces Kalengo to retreat onto the ropes.  Tambo lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Kalengo attempts to land a right hook, but Tambo slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Tambo closes the distance.  Tambo lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  As Tambo tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Kalengo.  That has caused slight damage to the nose.  
Tambo closes the distance and is on target with a left hook to his opponents liver.  
Kalengo tries to keep the action at long range.  Tambo drives a cross into his opponents body.  
Tambo closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Tambo digs in a sharp left hook to Kalengo's body.  
Kalengo throws a left hook, but Tambo holds on to his opponent.  Tambo leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Tambo digs in a solid left uppercut to Kalengo's body.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Kalengo dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Tambo lands a sharp right hook.  
Tambo digs in a right hook to Kalengo's body.  
Tambo digs in a weighty right hook to Kalengo's body.  KALENGO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Kalengo now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Tambo advances into close range and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Tambo thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Kalengo away.  Tambo lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He continues the combination and lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  It looks like Kalengo has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Tambo closes the distance.  Tambo pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Tambo gets on the inside and crashes a big left hook to his opponents ribs.  KALENGO IS DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
Tambo lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body, AND DROPS KALENGO TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 9.  
Kalengo is looking to keep his distance.  Tambo hits the target with a stiff jab.  Kalengo now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Tambo advances into close range and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Tambo lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Tambo lands a right uppercut to the body, and then to the head.  
Tambo lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Tambo clinches his opponent.  Tambo tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Kalengo behind the head. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Kalengo could be stopped here, if Tambo can find the right shot!  Tambo lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a cross to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND KALENGO IS KNOCKED DOWN!  The ref immediately waves off the fight...he's seen enough!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Tambo!
