Cody Haig vs Adam Purdie

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Colorado promoted show at Colorado Springs Blackard, Colorado Springs,  taking place on 03/12/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Colorado Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Cody Haig (5 - 5(3) - 2) who hails from Longmont, USA and Adam Purdie(17 - 16(3) - 6) from Greeley, USA.  Both Haig and Purdie weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ian Cohran, and the three ringside judges are Bradley Yeamans, Mark Woodhouse and Fraser Pringle.  

Round 1: 

Haig tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross.  
Purdie closes the distance.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Haig dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Purdie is looking to keep his distance.  Haig connects with an overhand right.  
Haig feints a cross and triggers a left hook counter from Purdie.  Haig springs the trap and counters with  a left hook.  
Purdie attempts to land a jab, but Haig parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
