Hamish Baird vs Chris Nash

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Mississippi promoted show at Joseph Cirino Gym, Jackson,  taking place on 04/12/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Mississippi Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hamish Baird (7 - 26(3) - 5) who hails from Jackson, USA and Chris Nash(30(16) - 11(1)) from Jackson, USA.  Baird weighed in at 146 pounds and 11 ounces, while Nash weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is David Cloy, and the three ringside judges are Billy Ainsley, Richard Cargill and Hayden McCallum.  

Round 1: 

Nash steps inside.  Nash sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Baird attempts to land a right hook, but Nash sidesteps and counters with a solid right uppercut.

Nash lands a left uppercut.  
Nash gets on the inside.  Nash lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Nash steps inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Nash lands a left hook, right hook and a left hook to his opponents body, KNOCKING BAIRD DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  Baird recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Nash gets on the inside and walks Baird down, trapping him on the ropes.  Nash lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.

Nash closes the distance and forces Baird to retreat into the corner.  Nash quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Nash lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Nash throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Nash's body.  
Nash advances into close range and drives a left hook into Baird's liver.  
Baird is on target with a jab.  
Nash advances into close range and drives a sharp left uppercut into Baird's body.  BAIRD WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Some sustained pressure from Nash could be enough to finish Baird!  Nash lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND KNOCKS BAIRD DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Baird now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Nash steps inside and cuts off the ring, trapping Baird in a corner.  Nash drives a sharp right hook into his opponents body.  
Baird lands a cross.  
Nash lands a cross.  
Nash closes the distance and is on target with a solid left hook.  Nash holds on to his opponent.  Nash leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Nash's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Nash steps inside and lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Nash holds on to his opponent.  Nash is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Baird steps away from his opponent.  Nash is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Nash lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  He continues the combination and lands consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents body, AND SENDS BAIRD SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Nash!
