The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Rodrigo DaVilla (9(7) - 0) who hails from Salvador, Brazil and Jose Velo(0 - 2) from Sao Paulo, Brazil.  Both DaVilla and Velo weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Xalvador Curto, and the three ringside judges are Angel Rodrigues, Santiago Mosso and Macario Nuno.  

Round 1:

DaVilla lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  DaVilla clinches his opponent.  DaVilla uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on Velo's kidney. Velo almost instantly recovers. 
DaVilla lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Velo tries to step out of his opponents range and attempts to land a jab, but DaVilla parries the shot and counters with a solid right hook.  
DaVilla lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
DaVilla lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
DaVilla lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Velo almost instantly recovers. 
DaVilla lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND SENDS VELO SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He manages to get up at 5.  
DaVilla sees his opponent is hurt.  He's looking for the finish!  DaVilla lands a right uppercut, right hook and a right uppercut to his opponents body, KNOCKING VELO DOWN!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Velo now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
DaVilla sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  DaVilla lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  DaVilla ties up his opponent.  DaVilla is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.

DaVilla forces Velo to back into the ropes.  DaVilla digs in a firm left hook to Velo's liver.
