Chris Barland vs Amon Van den Ecke

Boxing Daily Report from the Kronk Gym II promoted show at Detroit Litts, Detroit,  taking place on 06/01/2042:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Michigan Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Chris Barland (3 - 24 - 5) who hails from Grand Rapids, USA and Amon Van den Ecke(7 - 6 - 3) from Warren, USA.  Both Barland and Van den Ecke weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Amon Watters, and the three ringside judges are Bradley Van den Eynde, Max Gura and Jacob Herritt.  

Round 1: 

Barland throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Van den Ecke dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Van den Ecke.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
