Felix Wood vs Roger Gowen

Boxing Daily Report from the Hands Promotions promoted show at Hands Arena, Chicago,  taking place on 31/12/2041:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Felix Chop Chop Wood (7(6) - 0) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Roger Gowen(8 - 26(2) - 1) from Jacksonville, USA.  Wood weighed in at 140 pounds, while Gowen weighed in at 139 pounds and 4 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Lewis Vail, and the three ringside judges are Mick Marquis, Harry Yell and Ollie Gawley.  

Round 1: 

Wood advances into close range and throws a left uppercut, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Wood holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Wood pushes his forearm into Gowen's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Wood about fouling.  
Gowen tries to keep the action at long range.  Wood is on target with a hard jab.

Wood tries to land a right hook, but Gowen parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Wood cuts off the ring, trapping Gowen in the blue corner.  Wood lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.

Wood hits home with a potent cross.  GOWEN IS HURT!  Wood throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  Gowen quickly recovers.

Gowen wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Wood dabs at his face checking for damage.
