Joel Smailes vs Adam Davidge

Boxing Daily Report from the Australia Boxing Federation promoted show at Kenzie McTier Gym, Brisbane,  taking place on 18/01/2042:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Australia-Queensland Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joel Smailes (14 - 19(3) - 1) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Adam Davidge(6(1) - 8(4) - 1) from Townsville, Australia.  Smailes weighed in at 146 pounds and 15 ounces, while Davidge weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Robert Reekie, and the three ringside judges are Chris Weir, James Westwood and Mark Sear.  

Round 1: 

Davidge lands a firm cross.

Davidge drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  Davidge clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Davidge pushes his forearm into Smailes's face.  The referee warns Davidge and breaks the clinch.  
Smailes tries to step out of his opponents range and drives a cross into Davidge's body.  
Davidge closes the distance and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Davidge connects with a stinging left uppercut.  Davidge wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Smailes dabs at his face checking for damage.  Smailes has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused bad swelling  around the right eye.  
Davidge lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Davidge holds on to his opponent.  Davidge is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Davidge closes the distance and cuts off the ring, trapping Smailes on the ropes.  The right shot from Davidge could be enough to force the stoppage!  Davidge lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut, left hook and a cross to his opponents head, AND SMAILES IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He isnt going to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Davidge!
