Bryan Gettings vs Mark Thom

Boxing Daily Report from the hard hitting promotions promoted show at Nassau Struthers, Nassau,  taking place on 22/01/2042:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Bahamas-New Providence Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Bryan Gettings (3 - 4(2) - 1) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Mark Thom(11(2) - 10(3)) from Nassau, Bahamas.  Gettings weighed in at 159 pounds and 13 ounces, while Thom weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rich Tod, and the three ringside judges are Kai Haile, Paul Colville and Dominic Cockburn.  

Round 1: 

Thom gets on the inside and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Gettings tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with an overhand left.  
Thom closes the distance and manouvers Gettings into the blue corner.  Thom lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Thom lands a left uppercut to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Thom lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Thom closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Thom manages to force Gettings into a corner.  Thom lands a left hook.  
Thom lands a left uppercut.  
Thom connects with a left hook.  
Thom hits home with a sharp left hook.  Thom clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Thom pushes his forearm into Gettings's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Thom lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Thom lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  He then lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Thom hits home with a solid right hook.  Thom clinches his opponent.  Thom is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Thom and breaks the clinch.

Thom steps inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gettings's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Gettings's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Gettings's trainer is passing on some tactical advice. Gettings tries to land a left hook, but Thom slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Thom lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.
