Tomi Couri vs Pirkka Merikanto

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Finland-Uusimaa promoted show at Scandic Grand Marina Fennia, Helsinki,  taking place on 26/01/2042:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Finland-Uusimaa Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Nelonen, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Tomi Couri (18(14) - 6(4)) who hails from Espoo, Finland and Pirkka Merikanto(17 - 9(7) - 2) from Vantaa, Finland.  Couri weighed in at 147 pounds, while Merikanto weighed in at 146 pounds and 4 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Veijo Arajarvi, and the three ringside judges are Tuukka Tuomioja, Heikki Laitinen and Arvi Vacca.
