Lakshman Nath vs Shankar Sherbani

Boxing Daily Report from the AI India-Uttar Pradesh promoted show at Ghaziabad Sarang, Ghaziabad,  taking place on 30/01/2042:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the India-Uttar Pradesh Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TEN Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Lakshman Nath (27(8) - 5(2) - 1(NC)) who hails from Lucknow, India and Shankar Sherbani(16 - 5(1) - 2) from Kanpur, India.  Both Nath and Sherbani weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dayaram Bala, and the three ringside judges are Indra Ratanpuri, Rajat Ratanpuri and Jasvinder Jain.  

Round 1: 

Nath gets on the inside and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.

Sherbani tries to land a left hook, but Nath blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  It looks like Sherbani has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Nath lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Nath drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Nath clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Nath pushes his forearm into Sherbani's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Sherbani's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Sherbani's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Sherbani's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Sherbani's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Nath advances into close range and lands a right uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Nath dabs at his face checking for damage.  Nath has taken some damage there.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.

Nath pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND SENDS SHERBANI TO THE CANVAS!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Nath!
