Luigi Mauri vs Mark Cheves

Boxing Daily Report from the High Stake Promtions promoted show at Bart Menia Gym, Paterson,  taking place on 05/02/2042:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-New Jersey Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Luigi Mauri (6 - 5 - 1) who hails from Newark, USA and Mark Cheves(12 - 12 - 4) from Newark, USA.  Mauri weighed in at 160 pounds, while Cheves weighed in at 159 pounds And 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Ian Leaper, and the three ringside judges are Sid Kellison, Cody Normand and Rob Bonaccini.  

Round 1: 

Mauri gets on the inside.  Cheves pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.  
Cheves digs in a left hook to Mauri's body.  
Mauri steps to the outside and tries to land a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Mauri finds the target with a jab.  
Mauri lands a cross.  Mauri tries to land a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Mauri's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Cheves's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

Mauri tries to step out of his opponents range and lands two consecutive overhand rights to his opponents head.  
Cheves manages to force Mauri onto the ropes.  Cheves connects with a cross.  
Cheves closes the distance and attempts to land a right uppercut, but Mauri slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Mauri throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.
