Denton Begg vs Richie Briar

Boxing Daily Report from the GAT Management promoted show at Windsor Hotel Ballroom, Montreal,  taking place on 17/02/2042:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Denton Begg (18(17) - 0) who hails from Montreal, Canada and Richie Briar(21 - 20(5) - 2) from Buffalo, USA.  Both Begg and Briar weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Launcelot Rozenthal, and the three ringside judges are Vivien de Beauvoir, Laurent Marceau and Channing Lippmann.  

Round 1: 

Begg gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Begg clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Begg pushes his forearm into Briar's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Begg about fouling.  
Begg lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  He then lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Begg ties up his opponent.  Begg leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Briar lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Begg lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Begg gets on the inside and drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Begg is on target with a right uppercut to Briar's ribs.  Begg ties up his opponent.  Begg leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Begg's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Briar hits home with a cross.  
Begg is looking to close the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Begg clinches his opponent.  Begg is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Briar throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.  
Begg is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  Begg clinches his opponent.  Begg pushes his forearm into Briar's face.  The ref breaks Begg's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Begg steps inside and lands a right hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Briar pivots to the left of his opponent.  Begg lands a right hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Begg pivots to the right of his opponent and drives a firm right hook into his opponents ribcage.  
Begg manouvers Briar onto the ropes.  Begg drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Briar throws a left hook, but Begg clinches his opponent.  Begg leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Briar's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Briar's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Briar's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Briar feints a jab, fooling Begg into throwing a right uppercut counter.  Briar springs the trap and counters with  a right hook.  
Begg steps inside and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Begg is on target with a right uppercut.  
Begg connects with a right hook.  Begg holds on to his opponent.  Begg leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Begg pushes his forearm into Briar's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Begg about fouling.  
Begg walks Briar down, trapping him in a neutral corner.  Begg is on target with a right hook to Briar's body.  
Begg lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Begg lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.
