James Covarrubias vs Amjad Baten

Boxing Daily Report from the Plunder Boxing promoted show at Emirates Arena, Glasgow,  taking place on 06/03/2042:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport UK, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are James Covarrubias (5(5) - 1) who hails from Zamboanga City, Philippines and Amjad Baten(13(2) - 5 - 1) from Nottingham, UK.  Covarrubias weighed in at 104 pounds And 8 ounces, while Baten weighed in at 104 pounds And 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Andrew Frew, and the three ringside judges are William Owen, David MacInnes and James Matthew.  

Round 1: 

Covarrubias lands an overhand right.

Baten steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.

Baten gets on the inside and digs in a left uppercut to Covarrubias's ribs.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Baten dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Baten.
