Jack Varon vs Ian Toca

Boxing Daily Report from the DBA promoted show at Kessels Gym, Shreveport,  taking place on 08/03/2042:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Louisiana Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jack Varon (16 - 21 - 6) who hails from New Orleans, USA and Ian Toca(4 - 23 - 1) from Shreveport, USA.  Varon weighed in at 239 pounds And 15 ounces, while Toca weighed in at 229 pounds And 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mark Gilchrist, and the three ringside judges are Leo Larbaud, James Smillie and David Duffey.  

Round 1: 

Varon switches the action to the outside and is on target with a jab to Toca's body.  
Toca gets on the inside.  Varon pivots to the left of his opponent.  Toca connects with a right hook.  
Varon quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Toca digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Varon tries to step out of his opponents range.  Varon feints a cross, and then finds the target with a jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Varon's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Toca's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Varon feints a left hook, and then tries to land a jab, but Toca slips the shot and counters with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Varon hits home with a cross.  
Toca advances into close range.  Varon quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a left uppercut.  
Toca connects with a left hook.  
Varon steps away from his opponent.  Varon is keeping his hands low...it looks like he wants his opponent to throw first.  Toca tries to land an overhand right, but Varon sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

Varon throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.

Toca connects with a cross.  
Varon switches the action to the outside and connects with an overhand left.  
Toca is looking to close the distance.  Varon pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a left uppercut into Toca's body.  
At the end of Round 3, lets listen in on the corners...Toca's trainer is advising how he could be more accurate.  Toca's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Toca gets on the inside and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Toca lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  As Varon tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Toca.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Toca is looking to close the distance.  Varon lands a right hook.  
Toca quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.
