Chris Casey vs Chris Meredith

Boxing Daily Report from the Gore Promotions promoted show at House of Blues, Boston,  taking place on 22/03/2042:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Mid Atlantic Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Chris Casey (17(5) - 0) who hails from Boston, USA and Chris Meredith(20 - 15(1) - 4) from Providence, USA.  Both Casey and Meredith weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mike Stobie, and the three ringside judges are Oliver McCleese, Hassan Quadri and Alexander McPhatter.  

Round 1: 

Casey tries to land a jab, but Meredith blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Casey steps away from his opponent and strikes his opponents body with a telling cross.  MEREDITH IS DOWN!  He manages to get up at 6.  
Casey tries to keep the action at long range.  Meredith sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Casey lands a double jab to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands an overhand right to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Casey lands two jabs followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Casey is on target with a hurtful cross.  MEREDITH WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Meredith quickly recovers.

Casey hits home with a stiff jab.

Casey is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head, AND MEREDITH IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Casey!
