Ian Ewen vs Sam McClintock

Boxing Daily Report from the Australia Boxing Federation promoted show at Brisbane Deasmhumhain, Brisbane,  taking place on 16/03/2042:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Australia-Queensland Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ian Ewen (19(10) - 4 - 2 - 1(NC)) who hails from Brisbane, Australia and Sam McClintock(6 - 3 - 1) from Brisbane, Australia.  Both Ewen and McClintock weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is James Doughtie, and the three ringside judges are Bart Wilk, Johnny Deasmhumhain and Richie Higgins.  

Round 1: 

Ewen closes the distance.  Ewen sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left hook.  
Ewen gets on the inside.  McClintock throws a left uppercut, but Ewen holds on to his opponent.  Ewen is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Ewen gets on the inside and is on target with a sharp right hook.  
Ewen closes the distance and drives a solid right hook into his opponents body.  
Ewen lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  THAT HURT HIS OPPONENT!  Ewen holds on to his opponent.  Ewen is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Ewen about fouling.  McClintock quickly recovers. 
Ewen digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Ewen is looking to close the distance and is on target with a solid left hook to his opponents body.  Ewen throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Ewen lands a left uppercut, left hook and a right hook to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Ewen clinches his opponent.  Ewen uses his free hand to throw a body hook, but it lands on McClintock's kidney. The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Ewen about fouling.  
McClintock steps to the outside.  Ewen is looking to force the stoppage!  Ewen is on target with a powerful right hook to McClintock's body.  MCCLINTOCK IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  It looks like McClintock has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Ewen closes the distance and drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  
Ewen digs in a right hook to McClintock's body.  
Ewen closes the distance and connects with a stinging left hook.  
Ewen lands a cross.  
Ewen closes the distance and digs in a left uppercut to McClintock's liver.  
Ewen steps inside.  McClintock sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Ewen is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Ewen holds on to his opponent.  Ewen leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Ewen gets on the inside.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as McClintock dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Ewen sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Ewen lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Ewen clinches his opponent.  Ewen leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Ewen gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...McClintock's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  McClintock's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  McClintock's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Ewen is on target with a stinging right hook.  
Ewen lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Ewen lands a right hook to the body followed by two left hook's to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Ewen is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Ewen whips in a mean left hook to his opponents body.  MCCLINTOCK IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 6.  It looks like McClintock has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Ewen manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Ewen drives a solid left uppercut into McClintock's ribs.  
Ewen connects with a sharp right hook.  Ewen clinches his opponent.  Ewen throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Ewen gets on the inside.  Ewen pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Ewen lands a stinging right hook.  
Ewen lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Ewen lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
McClintock pivots to the left of his opponent.  Ewen drives a left hook into McClintock's ribs.  Ewen tries to land a left uppercut, but McClintock slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.

Ewen feints a right hook, but McClintock does not fall for it and is on target with a right hook.

Ewen senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Ewen lands a left uppercut to the body, a cross to the head and a right hook to the body.  He then lands a left uppercut to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  McClintock now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Ewen drives a weighty left hook into McClintock's body.  MCCLINTOCK IS HURT!  McClintock almost instantly recovers.

Ewen forces McClintock to back into the ropes.  Ewen digs in a sharp right hook to McClintock's body.  
McClintock steps to the outside and tries to land a cross, but Ewen dodges the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.  
Ewen steps inside and lands a left uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  
Ewen lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  McClintock recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Ewen lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Ewen attempts to land a right uppercut, but McClintock blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Ewen closes the distance and manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Ewen digs in a firm left hook to his opponents liver.  
Ewen lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Ewen closes the distance.  Ewen pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Ewen is on target with a right hook.  
Ewen gets on the inside.  McClintock pivots to the side of his opponent.  Ewen lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Ewen senses his opponent is hurt.  He is looking to stop McClintock and just needs the right shot.  Ewen crashes a spiteful right hook to his opponents ribcage.  MCCLINTOCK IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  HE MAKES IT TO ONE KNEE, BUT IS UNABLE TO RISE ANY FURTHER AS THE REF COUNTS 10!  The winner by KO is Ewen!
