Khalon Rabiu vs John Kanda

Boxing Daily Report from the Coetzee Promotions promoted show at Kumasi Ampaw, Kumasi,  taking place on 25/03/2042:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ghana-Ashanti Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Khalon Rabiu (1 - 9(1) - 2) who hails from Kumasi, Ghana and John Kanda(9 - 7) from Kumasi, Ghana.  Both Rabiu and Kanda weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Kwakye, and the three ringside judges are Jawad Mashriqi, Vincent Lamptey and Bradley Bariagher.  

Round 1: 

Kanda steps inside.  Rabiu lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Rabiu tries to land a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.  
Rabiu sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Kanda attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Rabiu's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Rabiu tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross.  
Kanda closes the distance and connects with a left hook.  
Kanda steps to the outside and lands a jab.

Rabiu switches the action to the outside.  Kanda hits home with a cross.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Kanda's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Kanda's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.
