Ximen Arce vs Santiago Melendez

Boxing Daily Report from the Pearlnew Promotions promoted show at Ovidio Umanzor Gym, Bayamon,  taking place on 01/04/2042:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Puerto Rico-Bayamon Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ximen Arce (1 - 0) who hails from Bayamon, Puerto Rico and Santiago Melendez(5 - 3(1) - 1 - 1(NC)) from Bayamon, Puerto Rico.  Both Arce and Melendez weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Elias Subia, and the three ringside judges are Alano Exposito, Juan Bailon and Venacio Toscano.  

Round 1: 

Arce closes the distance and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Melendez pivots to the side of his opponent.  Arce drives a left hook into his opponents liver.

Arce is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Arce about fouling.
