Santiago Amante vs Saturnin Ruis

Boxing Daily Report from the Habe Promotions promoted show at Porfio Tijerina Gym, Quito,  taking place on 23/04/2042:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Ecuador-Pichincha Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Santiago Amante (3 - 7(1) - 2) who hails from Quito, Ecuador and Saturnin Ruis(5 - 5 - 1) from Quito, Ecuador.  Both Amante and Ruis weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rogelio Remigio, and the three ringside judges are Alvino Casiano, Cortez Laverde and Eloy Quesada.  

Round 1: 

Ruis advances into close range.  Ruis pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Amante attempts to land a jab, but Ruis slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Ruis quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Ruis drives a cross into Amante's body.
