Olindo Barrientos vs Tajo Nevarez

Boxing Daily Report from the Sucre Promotions promoted show at Guayaquil Alcon, Guayaquil,  taking place on 24/04/2042:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Ecuador-Guayas Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Olindo Barrientos (10 - 16(2) - 6) who hails from Guayaquil, Ecuador and Tajo Nevarez(11 - 10 - 6) from Guayaquil, Ecuador.  Both Barrientos and Nevarez weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Cipriano Carrera, and the three ringside judges are Sagaz Ancheta, Ovidio Alarcon and Vicente Tamez.  

Round 1: 

Barrientos pivots to the right of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Barrientos closes the distance.  Nevarez voluntarily retreats back onto the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Barrientos tries to tag Nevarez on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!

Nevarez wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Barrientos dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Barrientos.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Nevarez switches the action to the outside and hits home with an overhand right.
