Sam Higgins vs Sam McCormick

Boxing Daily Report from the HONEYPUNCH promoted show at The O2, Dublin,  taking place on 17/05/2042:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Irish Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on RET One, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Sam Higgins (44(29) - 13(11)) who hails from Dublin, Ireland and Sam McCormick(28(1) - 12(6) - 2) from Dublin, Ireland.  Higgins weighed in at 168 pounds, while McCormick weighed in at 167 pounds and 1 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Clinton MacAdam, and the three ringside judges are Mel Mohan, Bradley MacGinnis and Mark McClellan.  

Round 1:

Higgins closes the distance.  Higgins is really starting to turn up the heat!  He senses a stoppage here.  Higgins lands a left uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut followed by  two right hooks to his opponents body, AND DROPS MCCORMICK!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  McCormick now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Higgins senses McCormick is in trouble...he is looking to finish him off!  Higgins crashes a nasty right uppercut to McCormick's ribcage.  MCCORMICK HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  HE TRIES TO RISE BUT HIS LEGS DONT RESPOND...THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Higgins!
