Vicente Pizana vs Pancho Laverde

Boxing Daily Report from the Anyidoho Promotions promoted show at Quito Casado Gym, Leon,  taking place on 26/04/2042:

Clearly Anyidoho Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Vicente Pizana (1 - 0) who hails from Mexico City, Mexico and Pancho Laverde(2 - 0 - 1) from Torreon, Mexico.  Pizana weighed in at 229 pounds And 9 ounces, while Laverde weighed in at 236 pounds And 4 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Diego Nuncio, and the three ringside judges are Malvolio Martel, Antonio Tavera and Diego Principe.  

Round 1:

Pizana lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Pizana lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Laverde quickly recovers.

Laverde tries to land a jab, but Pizana sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.

Pizana cuts off the ring, trapping Laverde in the red corner.  Pizana lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Pizana dabs at his face checking for damage.  Laverde quickly recovers.

Pizana is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Pizana to stop fouling.  Pizana wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Laverde dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Pizana sidesteps to the right of his opponent and slams a spiteful left uppercut into Laverde's body.  LAVERDE IS DROPPED TO THE CANVAS!  He beats the count, getting up at 9.

Laverde switches the action to the outside and throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.
