Xavion Pico vs Sam Sugcang

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Philippines-NCR promoted show at Imperial Palace Hotel, Quezon City,  taking place on 04/05/2042:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Philippines-NCR Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on IBC, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Xavion Pico (10 - 1) who hails from Manila, Philippines and Sam Sugcang(44(36) - 2) from Taguig, Philippines.  Pico weighed in at 130 pounds, while Sugcang weighed in at 129 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Jaguar Macabuhay, and the three ringside judges are Fausto Bugayong, Floyd Sanches and Pablo Dumagpi.  

Round 1: 

Sugcang steps inside and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.  
Sugcang hits home with a stinging cross.  
Pico pivots to the right of his opponent.  Sugcang lands a right uppercut to the head, a left hook to the head and a left hook to the body.  
Pico lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Pico lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  Pico throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Sugcang is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Pico tries to step out of his opponents range.  Sugcang lands an overhand right, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Sugcang steps inside and lands a firm left hook.  
Pico switches the action to the outside and lands a spiteful jab.  
Sugcang gets on the inside and walks Pico into the blue corner.  Sugcang pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a left uppercut.  
Sugcang lands a stinging left uppercut.  Sugcang throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Sugcang sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Sugcang whips in a hurtful right hook to Pico's body.  IT LOOKS LIKE PICO WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Sugcang tries to land a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left hook to Sugcang's body.  Pico recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Sugcang lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Sugcang lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Pico is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Pico switches the action to the outside and hits home with a cross.  Pico throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a stinging right hook.  
Sugcang advances into close range and walks Pico into the corner.  Sugcang lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Pico hits home with a cross.  
Sugcang gets on the inside.  Pico connects with a right hook.  
Sugcang lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Pico is looking to keep his distance and is on target with a cross.  
Sugcang steps inside.  Pico pivots to the right of his opponent.  Sugcang lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.

Pico tries to keep the action at long range and lands two overhand right's to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Pico lands with a ramrod jab.  
Sugcang manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Sugcang drives a solid right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Pico throws a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a CRUSHING right uppercut.  PICO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Pico almost instantly gets his legs back. 
Sugcang lands a stinging right hook.  
Pico pivots to the left of his opponent.  Sugcang lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Sugcang throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Sugcang closes the distance and manouvers Pico into a neutral corner.  Sugcang lands a left uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Sugcang lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body, DROPPING PICO TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Pico now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Sugcang connects with a left uppercut.  
Pico steps away from his opponent and snaps his opponents head back with a spiteful jab.  
Pico attempts to land a jab, but Sugcang slips the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Pico tries to land a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Sugcang walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Sugcang lands a right uppercut to the head, a right hook to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Sugcang is on target with a sharp right hook.

Sugcang sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a solid right uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Sugcang hits home with a right uppercut.  
Sugcang sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a sharp left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Pico sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Sugcang lands a left hook to the body followed by a jab to the head.  
Sugcang closes the distance.  Sugcang sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  
Sugcang is looking to force the stoppage!  Sugcang lands a left uppercut to the body followed by two right uppercut's to the head, AND PICO IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 9.  However, the ref is not convinced Pico is fit to continue. He waves off the fight!  The winner by TKO is Sugcang!
