Brin Hynd vs Brett Balch

Boxing Daily Report from the Eddie Burns promoted show at Rehman Shehata Gym, Los Angeles,  taking place on 06/05/2042:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Pacific Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Brin Hynd (18(6) - 1(1)) who hails from Moreno Valley, USA and Brett Balch(7 - 7) from Spokane, USA.  Both Hynd and Balch weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jasper Fairlie, and the three ringside judges are Mark Gardon, Seth Frith and Adam Reina.  

Round 1: 

Hynd connects with a left hook.  
Hynd sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Balch attempts to land a cross, but Hynd blocks the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.  
Hynd steps inside and walks Balch down, trapping him in the red corner.  Hynd lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Hynd is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Hynd lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Hynd hits home with a firm cross.  
Hynd advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Hynd pivots to the right of his opponent and is on target with a stinging right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Hynd manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Hynd lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Hynd quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a solid left hook to Balch's ribs.

Hynd pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Hynd gets on the inside.  Hynd pivots from in front of his opponent.  Balch tries to land a left hook, but Hynd slips the shot and counters with a stinging left uppercut to Balch's body.  
Hynd forces Balch to back into the ropes.  Hynd lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Hynd retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Balch steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Hynd closes the distance and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Hynd gets on the inside and drives a sharp right hook into Balch's ribcage.  
Hynd steps inside and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Balch sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Hynd lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Balch steps away from his opponent.  Hynd lands a jab followed by  two overhand rights to his opponents head.

Balch pivots to the side of his opponent.  Balch throws a right hook, but Hynd holds on to his opponent.  Hynd uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Balch behind the head. The referee warns Hynd and breaks the clinch.  
Hynd lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.
