Amer Amiri vs Chris Salifu

Boxing Daily Report from the Colby Productions promoted show at Seconds Out Boxing Gym, Accra,  taking place on 14/05/2042:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Amer Amiri (12(1) - 0) who hails from Kumasi, Ghana and Chris Salifu(7 - 3 - 3) from Accra, Ghana.  Amiri weighed in at 175 pounds, while Salifu weighed in at 174 pounds and 3 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Richie Buah, and the three ringside judges are Quintavius Akrobettoe, Malik Hussain and Shaun Panyin.  

Round 1: 

Salifu advances into close range and throws a left uppercut, but Amiri clinches his opponent.  Amiri pushes his forearm into Salifu's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Amiri switches the action to the outside and is on target with a jab to Salifu's body.  
Salifu advances into close range and attempts to land a left hook, but Amiri sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Amiri steps to the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Amiri lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Amiri lands a sharp jab.  
Amiri hits home with a firm cross.  
Amiri sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a jab.  
Salifu is looking to close the distance and manages to force Amiri onto the ropes.  Amiri digs in a solid left hook to his opponents body.

Salifu closes the distance.  Amiri steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Salifu accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Amiri.  
Amiri lands a left hook to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Amiri throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Amiri tries to keep the action at long range.  Salifu attempts to land an overhand right, but Amiri slips the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Amiri drives a cross into Salifu's body.  
Salifu steps inside.  Amiri lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Amiri connects with a solid cross.  
Amiri tries to keep the action at long range and connects with a cross.  
Amiri lands with a stiff jab.  
Salifu gets on the inside.  Amiri drives a solid left hook into Salifu's ribs.  
Amiri is looking to keep the action on the outside and finds the target with a jab.  
Salifu feints a cross, and then throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.

Salifu tries to land a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp right hook.

Amiri lands a cross followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS SALIFU!  He manages to get up at 6.  Salifu recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Salifu's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.  Salifu's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Salifu's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.

Salifu throws a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Amiri steps away from his opponent and lands a cross.  
Salifu closes the distance.  Amiri hits home with a solid left uppercut.  
Amiri tries to keep the action at long range.  Salifu lands a jab.  
Amiri lands an overhand right to the head, a jab to the head and a jab to the body.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  Salifu quickly recovers. 
Amiri switches the action to the outside and hits home with a stinging jab.

Amiri lands a jab to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Salifu attempts to land a cross, but Amiri slips the shot and counters with a sharp cross.  
Amiri is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Salifu sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Salifu attempts to land an overhand left, but Amiri slips the shot and counters with a VICIOUS cross.  IT LOOKS LIKE SALIFU WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Some sustained pressure from Amiri could be enough to finish Salifu!  Amiri lands a left hook to the head, a right uppercut to the body and a left hook to the head, AND DROPS SALIFU TO THE CANVAS!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Amiri!
