Dave Kimmick vs Ian Dixon

Boxing Daily Report from the Global Boxing Promotion promoted show at Hilton Hotel, Blackpool,  taking place on 30/05/2042:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the British-Northern England Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport UK, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dave Kimmick (7(3) - 2) who hails from Blackburn, UK and Ian Dixon(12 - 11(3) - 2) from Wakefield, UK.  Both Kimmick and Dixon weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Matthew McAlister, and the three ringside judges are Steven Kilduff, Sam Donovan and Shayan Farid.  

Round 1: 

Kimmick drops his guard, and stalks his opponent...he wants his opponent to throw a shot.  Dixon attempts to land an overhand left, but Kimmick slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.

Dixon advances into close range.  Kimmick throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps.  Kimmick clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Kimmick pushes his forearm into Dixon's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Kimmick to stop fouling.  
Dixon throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a spiteful right uppercut.  IT LOOKS LIKE DIXON WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Dixon recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Kimmick attempts to land a jab, but Dixon dodges the shot and counters with a cross.

Kimmick connects with a MASSIVE cross.  DIXON IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 6.  
Kimmick feints a left hook, but Dixon is not fooled and responds with a cross.
