Ikhtiyar Medjidov vs Aleksandr Ghahylyckoff

Boxing Daily Report from the Good Wood Promotion promoted show at Siraj Elamin Gym, Dushanbe,  taking place on 06/06/2042:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Tajikistan-Dushanbe Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ikhtiyar Medjidov (5 - 21(1) - 2) who hails from Dushanbe, Tajikistan and Aleksandr Ghahylyckoff(5 - 14(2)) from Dushanbe, Tajikistan.  Medjidov weighed in at 175 pounds and 10 ounces, while Ghahylyckoff weighed in at 174 pounds and 14 ounces.    As Medjidov came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the final eliminator position tonight.  
The referee tonight is Emin Beibutov, and the three ringside judges are Vitali Alasgarov, Yusif Badaldejli and Vaqif Aslam.  

Round 1: 

Ghahylyckoff gets on the inside.  Ghahylyckoff pivots to the right of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Medjidov advances into close range and attempts to land a right uppercut, but Ghahylyckoff sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Ghahylyckoff is looking to close the distance and cuts off the ring, trapping Medjidov in the corner.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Medjidov dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Ghahylyckoff quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Medjidov lands a cross.  
Medjidov steps away from his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Ghahylyckoff throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Medjidov time to recover.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Medjidov's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.  Ghahylyckoff's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.
