Davie Birrell vs Michael Friel

Boxing Daily Report from the Affandaboi promotions promoted show at Paterson Onion, Paterson,  taking place on 06/06/2042:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-New Jersey Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Davie Birrell (1 - 1(1)) who hails from Paterson, USA and Michael Friel(3 - 9(1) - 4) from Jersey City, USA.  Both Birrell and Friel weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Robert Dalton, and the three ringside judges are Lee Bowell, Sid Kellison and Ian Leaper.  

Round 1: 

Birrell advances into close range and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  Birrell clinches his opponent.  Birrell pushes his forearm into Friel's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Birrell about fouling.  
Birrell drives a left hook into his opponents ribs.  Birrell clinches his opponent.  Birrell leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
