Dom Culp vs Paul Ballantine

Boxing Daily Report from the Jon Crosby promoted show at Newcastle Killens, Newcastle,  taking place on 14/06/2042:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Australia-New South Wales Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dom Culp (6 - 7 - 1) who hails from Sydney, Australia and Paul Ballantine(13(3) - 5(3)) from Sydney, Australia.  Both Culp and Ballantine weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Aaron Hepburn, and the three ringside judges are George McRae, Bob Hails and Sid Galkin.  

Round 1: 

Culp is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Culp sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with an overhand right.  
Ballantine sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Ballantine.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Culp tries to step out of his opponents range.  Ballantine lands a double jab to his opponents head.
