John Cochrane vs Mark Bothwell

Boxing Daily Report from the FightArama promoted show at Cowles Stadium, Christchurch,  taking place on 21/06/2042:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are John Cochrane (1 - 0) who hails from Waitakere, New Zealand and Mark Bothwell(0 - 0) from North Shore, New Zealand.  Both Cochrane and Bothwell weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Stephen Suite, and the three ringside judges are Joshua Dallis, Dave Sprouse and Ewan Roxburgh.  

Round 1:

Bothwell advances into close range.  Cochrane drives a left hook into Bothwell's body.

The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Cochrane dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Cochrane.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.

Cochrane tries to step out of his opponents range and throws an overhand left, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Bothwell gets on the inside.  Cochrane pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a right uppercut into Bothwell's ribs.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Bothwell's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.

Bothwell steps to the outside and lands with a solid jab.  
Cochrane lands two jabs to the body, and one to the head.  
Bothwell steps inside.  Cochrane digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.  Cochrane attempts to land a left uppercut, but Bothwell blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.
