Bruce Pettigrew vs Justin Hulme

Boxing Daily Report from the Joe Mama promoted show at University of Newcastle Sports Hall, Newcastle,  taking place on 18/06/2042:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Australia-New South Wales Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on WIN, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Bruce Pettigrew (14 - 8(3) - 4) who hails from Sydney, Australia and Justin Honey Badger Hulme(32(18) - 16(12)) from Sydney, Australia.  Pettigrew weighed in at 175 pounds, while Hulme weighed in at 175 pounds and 15 ounces.    As Hulme came in over the weight limit, only his opponent will be able to compete for the titles on the line tonight.  
The referee tonight is James Finocchiaro, and the three ringside judges are Ricky Christeson, Owen Frame and Ali Azizi.  

Round 1: 

Hulme lands a left hook.  Hulme holds on to his opponent.  Hulme is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Hulme to stop fouling.  
Hulme lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Hulme is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  Hulme clinches his opponent.  Hulme is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Hulme connects with a sharp left hook.  Hulme holds on to his opponent.  Pettigrew uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Hulme behind the head. 
Pettigrew goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Hulme's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Hulme throws a left hook, but his opponent avoids the punch with a sidestep.  Hulme clinches his opponent.  Hulme leans on his opponent using all his weight. Hulme tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Pettigrew's kidney. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Hulme lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Hulme lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Hulme walks Pettigrew into the red corner.  Hulme is on target with a firm right hook to Pettigrew's ribcage.  
Hulme lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Hulme is looking to close the distance.  Hulme sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Hulme steps inside.  Hulme quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.

Pettigrew is looking to keep his distance and connects with a cross.

Pettigrew tries to step out of his opponents range and tries to land a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Hulme gets on the inside.  Pettigrew throws a right hook, but Hulme clinches his opponent.  Hulme uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Pettigrew behind the head. The referee warns Hulme and breaks the clinch.  
Hulme lands a left uppercut to the head followed by two right hook's to the body.  
Hulme sidesteps to the left of his opponent and drives a left hook into his opponents liver.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Pettigrew's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Pettigrew's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Pettigrew's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

He then lands a left uppercut followed by  two right uppercuts to his opponents body, AND SENDS PETTIGREW SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 5.
